About Us

The King Hussein Club was founded in 1958 under the royal patronage of His Majesty the late King Hussein bin Talal, seven years after his accession to the throne. Located in the Jebel Amman area, the club was established as a prestigious social and cultural institution, blending tradition with sophistication. It offers its members an exceptional environment that caters to their social and cultural needs. With a range of facilities designed to host diverse events, the club has become a unique destination for special gatherings and meetings.

Club history

1958

King Hussein Club was founded by a Royal inauguration by his majesty the late King Hussein Bin Talal in Jabal Amman, the heart of Jordanian heritage and culture. 

2004

His Excellency Mr. Zeid Al-Rifai oversaw the renovations at the King Hussein Club, which were carried out in accordance with royal directives and with the generous donations of His Majesty King Abdullah II. The club’s facilities were renovated and restored as part of the attempt to improve its capacity to host social, cultural, and charity events. In addition, His Majesty King Abdullah II accepted the club’s honorary presidency and opened the refurbished facilities. 

2018

The King Hussein Club has been awarded with an honorable mention in the city club category as one of the top 100 in the world.  

2024

His Excellency Ali Abu Ragheb has officially announced the appointment of a successor to Ex. Chairman Zaid Al Rifai (may his soul rest in peace), as the new appointee brings a wealth of experience and a fresh vision for the future.

As we memoir His Excellency, the former Chairman of the Club Zeid Al-Rufai, we remember a man who spent his life driven by passion for service, a deep love for his homeland, and an indefatigable quest for progress.  

As President of the King Hussein Club, he showed leadership, commitment, and inspiration to all those who had the privilege of working with him. He guided many operations to renovation and maintenance development projects at the club to enhance its social, cultural, and charitable services, as directed by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein.
